Trying to replace a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms

I'm trying to replace a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms. What I'm having trouble with is their are 2 white wires and 1 black wire and the ground. The fan has a black wire a blue wire and a white wire as well as the green ground. I cant figure out how to wire it up. Do I put the whites from the ceiling together and the black from the ceiling together with the white, blue and black from the fan?

Billy,

Sounds to me like your Whites Tie together (Fan + 2 whites from Source. Black goes to black. Green attaches to Green which should also attach to box (If metal). Sounds to me like your Whites (neutral) continues on to complete another circuit.

Hope this helps. Please check out my "Wiring a Ceiling Fan" page and the diagrams are what you are looking for.

Thanks for Visiting.
